Having answers to these questions will help you have better conversations with installers and make the quote comparison easier:
- What type of boiler do you currently have?
- Roughly how old is it?
- How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you have?
- Do you want the boiler in the same location?
- Is there anything wrong with your current heating system generally?
- What's your rough budget range?
Take your time
- Unless your boiler has completely failed in winter, there's rarely a genuine reason to rush. Good installers are often booked a few weeks ahead anyway.
- Anyone who tells you a price is "only valid today", or that you'll "miss out" if you don't decide now, is using a sales tactic — not giving you advice.
